I ordered CH to make homemade tortillas and scanned the back and was able to watch a couple your helpful videos. I just have 2 questions , First the method and importance of ridding the kernel skins . One at a time sounds like a entire day ordeal? even using a fine colander. The second is on your Konjac video , the ratio and amount of calcium hydroxide to that 3/4 C of water was left out. I’m guessing 1 tsp. Otherwise great material. love it . Thanks , Paulie
Removing the skins is traditional but we understand it is tedious. Do your best to rinse off the skins but do not worry if there are some still left on before making the tortillas. As for the Calcium hydroxide amount it is 1.5g (1/2 tsp) the recipe can be found here https://blog.modernistpantry.com/recipes/zero-calorie-shirataki-noodles/
Thank You very much! You guys are awesome!
