I am trying to mimic the Trader Joe Star Cookies with the crystals on the outside. I am not sure how I want to attach the crystals. Baking not an option, so drizzle with white chocolate and sprinkle them on. Will they just taste like sugar and all is good? Do I need the flavor base to keep them from popping or are they good as is? Please advise. Thank you!

You will need to add the flavor base to keep them from popping. However, even with the flavor base the crystals will pop over time. They are intended to be consumed quickly.
