How about making a vegan cheese cake using oatmilk yogourt?

  • This recipe worked beautifully for me… the second time. The first time I accidentally used the proportions of oats: water for oat milk so it didn’t thicken properly. But then I realized my mistake and used the correct amounts. I used a cashew-based vanilla yogurt from Trader Joe’s as my starter and put 4 jars of it in my Instapot for 12 hours on the yogurt setting! Oh… before I transferred the liquids to the jars, I increased the vanilla and added some cinnamon, a bit of maple syrup, and a small pinch of salt. The yogurt is FANTASTIC! The texture is lovely and taste is lightly tangy with a hint of sweetness. THANK YOU!!! The plant based yogurts are $1.99/cup and I haven’t calculated the cost of this method but I think it will be much less. Plus I can experiment with my own flavors!
